Not much you can do about sound besides getting a faster processor, it's not that bad on my new laptop but on my computer it's kind of distroted as well. Java uses a lot of your computers resources when it's running so if theres a lot of other things using resources it will be slow too.
Another thing you might want to try doing is closing other programs that use a lot of memory/CPU, but usually, it won't be perfect -- if it isn't important to you then the best thing to do is take andreas002's advice and turn off the sound, the game will run much smoother that way as well. _________________ If everyone demanded peace instead of another television set, then there'd be peace.

| I have a top of the line computer so i dont think its that.... I have over 2gigs of RAM. The sounds bring back the nostalgia, and was just hoping to get it made clearer. |

Well there's nothing really that can be done, most people here have bad sound as well, they just leave it off though. _________________ If everyone demanded peace instead of another television set, then there'd be peace.

hey bro, i'm on my laptop right now and the nintendo audio is 100% on it, my laptop has less memory then my computer so it's not that.
I believe it's your processor that reflects how the sound works, mine is 3.0 ghz P4 so if you have that or better sound will be fine, otherwise you probably shouldnt use sound.
I doubt soundcard will have anything to do with it but you might want to give that a try too.
without sound, i've played on my high schools computer which have maybe 166 mhz (give or take), works fine, just a little info if you want higher quality sound.
don't worry, most people don't have perfect sound so it's normal _________________ If everyone demanded peace instead of another television set, then there'd be peace.
